Other Info: Hi, I am a 25 year old single woman who is desperate to start my family. I have decided to become a single parent not because I haven't met 'the right man', but because I believe I am ready to be a mum, and I want to give my child the best chance at living a healthy and happy life. Being younger will increase the likelihood that my child will be born healthy, and right now in my life I have a very flexible work arrangement so that I will have all the time in the world to spend with my children while they are little. I am currently studying to become a Primary School Art Teacher, after working as a Family Violence Support Worker and Children's Counsellor. I decided to change my career to suit being a mother, as working in welfare was very draining and I felt it didn't leave me with enough energy or emotional space to be an effective parent. I will travel to Melbourne if need be for the right donor. I am keen to have little to no contact with the donor after insemination, except if my child wishes to meet you when they turn 18. This decision was based solely on providing consistency for my future child. If I find the right donor and they want some contact, then I would be happy to have that discussion with them. I wouldn't mind sending some updates through about my child's progress etc from time to time if that's what we decide on.
