Other Info: I'm looking for a genuine and kind man to be a sperm donor. Somebody who would be prepared to stay in touch to enable the child to contact them if it wishes to do so when it reaches the age of 18.

I'm 37 years old and it's really now or never! This wasn't a situation I was planning on being in, but life has just kind of worked out this way. I have a decent job, a cosy little house, and a very supportive network of friends and family. It keeps me awake at night wondering if I'm doing the right thing - deliberately bringing a child into the world without a real dad. I'm certainly not doing this out of selfish arrogance - thinking that dads don't matter - but I feel like there is so much that I could give to a child and I would work so hard to try and fill the gap where a conventional second parent should be with a network of loving family members.

So, a little bit about me - I'm an agricultural research scientist, trying to figure out ways of making crops grow better. I love rowing - a ridiculously time consuming hobby that kind of expands to fill your life.
