Other Info: It has taken me a while to think about what to write as it is quite difficult other than just writing that standard spiel e.g. have not met the right person as yet and would like to raise a child’ etc..

Although that may be true, I am looking for a bit more than that. I want to have a close connection and understanding with the mother as we will be in each other’s lives for a very long time indeed. How parents communicate with each other is very important towards the child. I want to make sure that we have the same mind-set in what and how we would like to see the child grow. Choosing to raise a child with someone should not be taken lightly and takes a while for you to get to know each other, ensuring that it is the right decision. Therefore, I would kindly request that if you are expecting to start a family immediately (e.g. tomorrow), I may not be the one as I want to be certain that that we are compatible, which takes time. It is almost like building a friendship or relationship.

I want to be fully involved from the start, I am not willing to be only be a part time dad. I want to make sure that both parents provide the love and support for the child and give them everything they need (not necessarily what they want!). I have helped raise my friends 4 children and they have grown up to be exemplary models! As such, I am not interested in being a sperm donor unfortunately.

A little bit about me… I come from a medical and law family background. I worked in Central Government for a while and have ended up being an IT Consultant through my own Ltd which is something I do enjoy. I have a passion for technology and gadgets  I love to cook. My specialties include traditional Caribbean and authentic home comfort foods as well as a mix of experimental dishes and even Lamb Shanks in Red Wine, but I do love a roast on any day of the week!

Which graciously leads me to ethnicity. My parents are from the Caribbean but I was born and bred in the UK. I am an Essex Boy at heart, without the modified Ford Escort although I do wear white socks on occasions. I enjoy spending time at home and enjoy the company of my friends and family.
I like exploring my surroundings in the UK. We are so quick to jump on a plane to sight see abroad that we forget the rich heritage that is on our doorstep.

What am I looking for in a co-parent partner? Well, ultimately we must have the same vision and beliefs about raising children. I want the child to grow up in a loving environment, I want to ensure we instil the right values so that we can see them flourish and achieve anything that they may wish to do. I grew up in a town where I was a minority but it did not stop me from treating people as people regardless of skin colour/race or creed etc. and as such, I want my child to grow up the same way. I have family dotted around the world which allows the introduction of different cultures and religions. I want the child to experience many cultures give them the ability to learn about how other people live. Age, race, creed are not characteristics I look at when searching for a co-parent.
