As a married man with 2 children, I have been given my wife's blessing to be a donor, in helping those loving caring people who are ready to have their own child. First came across the idea of donoring, when my wife worked with a lesbian lady that was looking for a donor, and we were shocked by all the horror stories, that they experienced over a couple of years of looking. Every time they thought they found a nice and decent donor, they would soon later realise they weren't so nice after all upon meeting them, or the ones that seemed nice simply didn't show up on ovulation days and then ignored all messages from then onwards. So I guess the combination of being a father and understanding how special children are and also with the knowledge that there is a lot of predators/timewasters out there makes me inclined to help.
Other reasons that made me reassure my decision to be a donor are. Good family medical health lost my first family member last year at the age of 89 the day before his 90th birthday. All other family members are alive and healthy. I have great teeth, still haven't had to experience getting a fillin and dentists reckon I may never have too. Also no mental illness's. Although my wife jokes that I must be mental in wanting to help out others via sperm donation.
I use to be very good at sports (Still like to think I am) and play/umpire up to 5 nights a week, however these days, I tend to enjoy coming home from work and spending time with my children and getting them involved in sport. I intend to coach sporting teams once they come of age. Currently I am really enjoying teaching my 4 year old to swim.
I have an IQ of 141 so while I am not quite a genius, I like to think I do alright in the brain capacity department, I have always had life plans and goals in life. I am kind, caring and considerate, have a great temperament. People who I donor for, feel comfortable with me and I don't like to waste peoples time and let them down.
As a married donor, with my own children I think this offers the safest and risk free method for those seeking a donor.
